Founded in 2013 by nationally recognized, Black survivor activist, Tashmica Torok, The Firecracker Foundation provides comprehensive services for children who have experienced sexual violence and their families. In the 8 years since TFF was founded, it has gained national attention within the movement to end child sexual abuse for our collective expertise, justice-centered approaches, and survivor-led organizing efforts.

Soulfire is a community awareness project that shares the diversity of survivor experiences through artistic expression. This year, we have transitioned the multimedia art project to highlight digital art that will maximize the impact of the storytelling and increase accessibility for members of our global community. The event will be broadcast LIVE across multiple platforms and include sign language interpretation significantly increasing the number of people who have the opportunity to participate.

On Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., join community leaders, business owners, nonprofit partners, artists, community organizers, activists, donors, and key volunteers as we come together in a virtual celebration of the hard-won progress we’ve made towards a safer, more healed community.

*Training opportunities could include but are not limited to empathy and active listening, trauma-informed practices, understanding child sexual trauma, how to respond to a disclosure, mandated reporting, etc.

Tickets $50 before Oct. 1, $75 if purchased before Nov. 1, $100 on the day of the event.
