The Firecracker Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity with the mission of honoring the bravery of children who have survived sexual trauma by building a community invested in the healing of their whole being.
Your community’s generosity has allowed us to contract therapists to provide consistent, quality therapy to children, and their families, who have experienced sexual trauma. We are now taking referrals for the Mental Health Therapy program.
Contracted therapists facilitate individual therapy sessions for child survivors between the ages of 3 and 17 in the safety and security of their existing practice location. Each child participates in a clinical assessment that will help their therapist develop a treatment plan that may include:
Contracted therapists and yoga instructors collaborate with The Firecracker Foundation and maintain all confidential service records and case notes for beneficiaries. Once a therapist is successfully matched with a client, they are committed to that beneficiary until the close of their initial treatment plan.
Service providers and legal guardians can refer a child who does not have medical insurance and is ineligible for therapeutic services through other community programs.
To refer a client for Firecracker programs call 517-242-5467. Every inquiry will receive a response within 48 hours. You may also email questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Through a partnership with The Firecracker Foundation, St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC) is now offering therapeutic services to a limited number of child survivors of sexual trauma, whose families would otherwise be unable to afford high-quality, consistent care.
To learn more about if you or someone you know qualifies for these services and how to apply, please call STVCC at 517.323.4734 ext. 1700
