Artist’s Statement: Masters is an 18 x 24, watercolor & ink image on paper. This painting has a noticeable frame signifying boundaries, but it is not covered in glass to encourage participation in authentic community. It is a reminder that you are not alone. And, it is a welcoming to the healing journey. Wherever you are, however you feel – that is okay.
The titles of this and its companion work “Captain” take inspiration from the poem “Invictus” by William Ernest Henley.
