Join The Firecracker Staff Circle!

TThe Firecracker Foundation (TFF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that honors the bravery of children who have experienced sexual trauma by building a community invested in the healing of their whole being. Founded in 2013, TFF is a nationally recognized, survivor-led organization founded by a Black woman who is a survivor of incest and child sexual abuse.

We believe that child survivors of sexual trauma deserve the support of the entire community as they begin to heal, overcome the negative impacts of trauma, and lead a healthy lifestyle into adulthood. TFF provides high-quality, consistent holistic healing services at no cost to families in need, raises awareness of the prevalence of sexual trauma and its devastating consequences, and provides survivors with the resources that can help them heal.

Our hiring cycle is now CLOSED!

The ideal candidates share a strong commitment to:

  • TFF’s mission, values, practices, and agreements
  • Implementing trauma- and inclusion-informed best practices
  • Fostering a supportive environment for clients and colleagues
  • Actively exploring alternative forms of justice and healing
  • Self-directed work, purpose-driven collaboration, and shared leadership
  • Ongoing learning + skill-building that supports the continued development of TFF as a site of practice for Healing Justice work

We center relationships and a focus on shared values over traditional qualifications. To express interest in exploring a potential staff position with TFF you will be asked to complete a candidate questionnaire.

Only candidates who complete the candidate questionnaire will be invited to submit any relevant examples of their body of work (resume, portfolio, writings, etc.) which may then lead to an interview.

Final candidates will be provided with a stipend to sit in a Circle + share a meal at the close of this process of shared discernment.
