I wish: A letter from a mother to her daughter.

Today we are sharing a letter that one mother wrote to her daughter and was kind enough to share with you.

“I Wish”

My wish is that I could take your pain away. I wish I could bear it for you.

I wish I could make you whole again, to the person you were before – only stronger.

I wish I could help you fall asleep at night without a care in the world, and help you have beautiful dreams.

I wish you could go through your day feeling loved and supported. I wish I could make the bullies go away.

I wish I could take away the burdens of your trauma. I wish I could have protected you and kept you safe. I wish I could change it all.

I wish you were happy.

I wish you knew how much you are loved and cherished.

I wish you could live your life and not be fearful. I wish you weren’t afraid to be alone. I wish I could turn back the clock.

I wish.

On Saturday, June 28th, this mother’s daughter began Yoga Therapy for Teens.

Your participation in Firecracker Yoga has provided the funds for her and two other students to practice trauma sensitive yoga in a safe space with well trained instructors from Free Being Yoga Network.
